M52A2 Power Steering Help Needed

About two weeks ago I was driving my M52A2 down the highway, discovering that I had lost my power steering. Upon getting the truck home, I pulled the power steering pump (Vickers VTM27/42 on a LDS-465-1A multifuel) and disassembled to find the main shaft broken. I was able to locate a new shaft, bearings, seals and gaskets. I've rebuilt the pump, installed and filled the reservoir with ISO 68 hydraulic oil. Before starting the engine, I ensured there was oil going through the pump from the reservoir and out the pressure side. After starting the truck - no power steering.

Does anyone have experience with these pump? Any help would be appreciated.
