M939 tractor, stalling when shifting the transfer case

I have a m939 tractor that is stalling in between shifts of the transfercase when I put thte trans in gear the first time after that I crank it back up and it does fine only when I change from high to low or vise versa can any one tell me the problem these trucks or new to me thanks

The button on the end of your transfer case shift lever is sticking. Use your fingers and pull it back out. Remove the handle. Clean the switch and spray it with lube.
