I was moving my 1998 Stewart & Stevenson LMTV, got about 1 mile down the road and the throttle cable snapped at the end where it connects to the linkage. Not enough cable left to splice the end back on.

Any ideas how in the world I am going to fix this? Right now I routed what is left of the cable out under the dash and clamped on a longer cable that I can pull with some vise grips to get the thing moving a little bit. But it takes a tremendous amount of effort.

No idea where I can get a replacement part

I will look tommorrow I think I have one. Moisture gets into the cable sleeve and causes problems in cold climate. I have used the rubber cover in the engine bay to push wd40 thru them with an air compressor.
