M101 Shocks - Monroe 32283 Unavailable?

The principal application is Toyota. Look up a 2004 Toyota Tacoma any engine RWD or 4WD without the TRD package. They are the rear shocks.

Rock auto has many choices under $20.

it does appear that monroe discontinued the 32283.

I am checking to see if they have superseded the number and will report back when I get new info.

Based on the Rock Auto parts, it looks like Monroe 32293 is the new part.

Monroe Tech support tells me it is obsolete with no supersede. The 4 loop tapered bushings made it an odd ball. That being said you can look in the buyers guide and spec one with fixed pressed in bushings that would easily do the trick with the same bolt diameter. This is a very basic shock length, travel, and bolt so a little research will get you there.

A search will turn up the shock replacement numbers.
Lots of guys, including me, have replaced them with new currently available shocks.
They work perfectly.

Two and a half years ago I dug through the Monroe catalog to see what shocks would fit a 1960 Pioneer tool trailer I had (same M116 frame, and axles as an M101). I'm not saying the information is current, but may be of some use to you.

I ended up buying two pair of NOS Monroe #37114 shocks at a great price on eBay. I also ended up selling that Pioneer Tool Trailer and used one pair on a newly acquired 1968 M101A1 and my 1966 M105A2. The specs and lengths worked perfectly for both.

that looks like the same style OE mounting with the 4 tapered loop bushings using 3/4 mounting and should work fine.
