My M35A2 has come a long way from a beaten down brushfire truck to her now standing glory. She took me a year to get from start to finish, I had a company start the work but a lot was still to be done. With help from other members and friends she now stands fully restored and even upgraded a bit.

My truck was made in 1971 by the General Products Division of Jeep. She is of a uncommon make, most where made by Kaiser Jeep or AM General. She isn't perfect but she is as close to it as my budget allows.

Will post up some pics and videos of the workhouse 923 with the Big Cam NTC400 Cummins and CAT 16spd transmission. Raised cab and hood. Air conditioning. 1600s on HEMTT wheels. Twin 118 gallon fuel tanks. Newly acquired ISO bed and travels all over the place.

A few pictures of General Non-Sense over the past few years. He's a hard worker and plays well with friends like me. My worst moment with him is when I climbed in the cab on crutches enroute to the 2017 GA Rally. My best moment was when I pulled in the driveway 4 days later with no issues but still on crutches. He's participated in quite a few local parades alongside a thoroughbred who hangs out in this yard. No less the May 2015 Winner of this contest, Sarge still rubs it in to this day. I'm asking for your vote to restore order to my humble few acres. Sarge claims quality over quantity and you know 5 tons do both better!

In 2013, I modified and installed the M52 air cleaner with the idea of installing an LDS engine to pull a S-280 shelter. In 2016 I installed the 10'000lb. Garwood winch and PTO after I retired and moved to rural NW Nevada where I can use it. Found a new complete GI hot water heater in the box and plan on installing the heater this spring.

Tracer’s deuce has to be one of the cleanest, nicest ones around. A beautiful truck. The pics don’t do it justice. You need to vote for this truck.

This is our rought terrain forklift which is street legal with up to about 30 miles/hour.
This MV is build 1987 and named FUG 2.5 Y 4-1.

The engine is a 6 Cyl. aircooled Deutz Diesel.

I have such an affliction with having to vote for just one when every candidate has the Attitude of being MV of the Month. And that the Equipment is Never static but being used at what they were designed for.

155mm's Tanker Truck combination is FEET LONG!

DSCF2117.jpgDSCF2118.jpgDSCF2119.jpg I installed a drivers spring seat in place of the bench seat so my Wife/Navigator has a more comfortable ride. I installed the APC interior light as a map light. I purchased this light several years ago from CARNAC when he was out West at the April Tower Park event. This light came with a dimmer control and works great. To mount, use four 7/8 hose clamps, it's 24V so hook up the power and you have an excellent hands off map light.

I am not at my computer, so the photo on my phone will have to do. The trip across WYO yesterday took 7 hours instead of little less than 5.

FUGtoday 036.jpg FUGtoday 037.jpg FUGtoday 034.jpg We collect all the additional equipment and boxes full with special tools in several years.
......long forks with extensions, dozer blade, crane hook........
This Steinbock Feldumschlaggerät FUG is a great helper in the motorpool. We don´t know what we have done the years without him.

I could throw up all the pictures from her rebuild and upgrades but I'll list them instead and throw up some PR pictures instead.

First let me say that I haven'tet the person that doesn't love old Marauder (My deuce). I take her to a local car show every month, not because I'll win but all the old vets. I love talking to them about how they drove a Deuce in Nam or when they where stationed over seas. Hearing them talk about how driving it down tiny German streets was pucker factor the whole time. I also let every kid that wants to get up in her and climb around (parking break set, out of gear and chalks down).

I originally picked out my truck for rebuild October before last. She was a brush fire truck with a custom bed with water tanks. Since then she has been stripped, painted and gutted. I had the seats rebuilt and reupholstered. I swapped out the original seatbelts belts and put in a three belts kit for a 5 Ton. The tail lights changed to LED, the wiper lines replaced, flash unit replaced, took all 10 original NDT tires off flipped the hubs and put on MRAP wheels and tires. She has gotten original and some not so original markings placed on her as well as all new data plates.

There is more but she is clean, parade worthy and a blast to drive.

California we participated in several parades a year, with our favorite being the Huntington Beach 4th of July parade. We proudly carried Veterans from the Long Beach Veterans Hospital and the American Legion Huntington Beach Post 133 over the parade route. We sure miss them.

For street legal use you have to install the front bumper after laying the mast between the cabs.

This bumper look is the reason why you call him "FUGly the Forklift";)
