    Default Working on the M38 next.

    Going to start on the M38 next. I got this engine out of a modified M38A1. It is originally from a MB. I took it all apart replaced gaskets ect. It ran really good. I am not sure I am going as crazy as I did on the M37.....

    Funny, I got an engine from a M38 and I am putting it in a 1943 MB.
    Trucks: 43 Willy's MB, 52 M37, 71 M35A2 w/w, 84 m936, 85 M923A1, 85 M929, 84 M925
    Trailers: 66 M332, 92 M105A2, 08 M200A1
    Gen: 03 MEP-803A, 01 MEP-805B

    I would sell it . WWII Jeep motors bring a premium
    Have owned A whole bunch of jeeps, trucks and armor. Still have a few.

    I love my carbon footprint and no I don't own a Toyota.

    Clean up the engine bay and put it in. Is the engine that we pulled the head and pan off the original one?

    It's the one from the M38A1C. Been wrapping up issues with the M37 as they arise. Off school till mid January, so the M37 is a total stoppage.

    The motor is NOT a WWII block casting. It has the serial pad above the water pump. WWII have an oval pad on the right side of the engine at the front just below the deck. Is the serial number still readable on the pad? There is a chance of it being a Willys post war replacement engine. The serial number will tell us.
