This years rally will be March 22-24. I have booked the off road ranch again. I will post more details as I get them. I look forward to seeing everyone again this year.

For those that have not yet attended, here's some general information.

We camp at the Brazos Valley Off-Road Ranch ( http://www.brazosvalleyoffroadranch.com ). The gaits will open Friday evening, March 22 (nofearnohope will let us know what time). Folks generally filter in all evening and sometimes late into the night. We'll get up Saturday morning, March 23, for a convoy to the Museum of the American G.I. ( http://americangimuseum.org/events/l...story-weekend/ ). We typically have a police escort for the convoy. After spending the morning at the museum, we'll return to camp mid-afternoon to enjoy the off-road ranch. This may include trail rides, mud pits, vehicle repairs, etc. There's usually a bonfire Saturday night with great company and, maybe, a few tall tales. Everyone usually departs for home Sunday morning.

Camp:
We dry camp in a field. That being said, there is a building at the camp site with bathrooms and electricity. You can buy lunch at the museum on Saturday. Otherwise, plan for and bring all of your meals and camping supplies.

Camping (including use of the off-road ranch) costs $10 per family per night. Please bring cash to pay nofearnohope.

Buy / Sell / Trade:
Feel free to bring anything you want to sell or trade to the off-road ranch. We'll probably have a separate "buy /sell / trade" thread as the event gets closer. To sell items at the museum, you must be a registered vendor. If that's something you want to do, please contact the museum directly ahead of time to register.

Open to all? If so, I will put in for vacation. I work nights so only 1 day of vacation, get up at 1400 on Friday, motor out for 3 hours and should meet all of you on Friday afternoon. Barrman will vouch for me ;)

My M1031 is highway ready with new 255 Cooper Maxx STs yet to be taken off road. Might even have the air conditioning working, if I can source some 140+ amp alternators.

Keith can be allowed in to the open for all Rally.

He has a CUCV shop truck and knows how to use it.
And it now has oxyacetylene, a proper Milton inflator with gauge and fully functioning PTO generator. I do both kinds of arc welding, SMAW and GTAW (an homage to The Blues Brothers). I splurged on a Metabo die grinder so the truck has two angle grinders, an air die grinder and an electric 1/4". Two drills, two air impacts with sockets, a RoboTool, ball joint press, recovery gear, 12 pound sledge hammer and enough junk to fill every compartment. Need to bring my fastener sets and rod vaults with some patch metal.

This is why it now has air lift suspension.

By then, it should be variable speed compressor :). I ordered the variable speed control from a vendor in China. They did a switcharoo on tracking numbers with another order going to Hildago Texas. So I informed them of the error and they are sending another. I might just get two.

Keith_J Both kinds of arc welding, that’s hilarious! Not to be confused with both kinds of music, country and western. I actually thought about throwing my 65’ SA 200 in the truck just in case. But looks like you have that covered. Good to know cuz you just don’t throw a SA 200.

Another perfect reason to get that roof top tent I’ve been eyeing. If I can get the Deuce road worthy I’m in. If not I’m still in.

715Mike thanks for posting the info! Looking forward to getting the truck in her natural habitat and see what those 395’s will actually do. I already know what it will do in flood waters.

My RTT will make the trip one way or the other. The question is whether I have a driveable vehicle before then. The starter is out on both the M37 and the Champ. The 37, I believe, is just "stuck" and would probably be coaxed into working with a couple of love taps of a BFH. The Champ is a mystery. It doesn't seem to be getting juice to the starter and not sure if it's a wiring issue or a starter issue.

Anyway, if I bring the M37 I have to tow with the F350 which means sliding the RTT into the bed on some blocks and strapping it down for the trip. If the Champ comes I can tow it with the Titan and mount the RTT the way it's supposed to be. If neither MV comes then it'll be the Titan solo again.

Mkcoen pm me about the starter issue I’ll see if I can help you get it going. Your not too far from me if it needs a Bigger FH.

Also I’d like to talk with you about RTT’s.

The Champ starter is smaller. And easier to access. But the M37 is simple. One way or another you are going. Probably with the more trail capable Champ.

Never attended an event such as this. Would a 930A2 dump be allowed? I'm just getting going in the MV universe!

Absolutely! We’d love to have a M930 at the rally. I hope you can make it.

If my memory serves me (which is questionable), someone brought a M930 dump out a few years ago. I’m going to have to look back through pictures now....

Any and all odd ball or "normal" military vehicles are welcome. Plus cool non military vehicles too.

Now, at the museum Saturday it needs to be just military vehicles.

I'm coming again, too! Probably with my USAF flight line van (from Lackland/Kelly AFB in San Antonio) and a M101 or M1101 trailer.

HA! I'm not losing it! At least not tonight.....

Member sidel2426 had a dump truck at the 2015 TX MV Rally. Well, it's not a M930, but it's still a dump truck...
