Also remember, the 4th amendment applies to the gov't, not citizens. You don't need a warrant to go talk to someone, rustle some feathers, etc. I dunno the law in MT, but in a lot of states, unless it's posted no trespassing, you can be there until someone asks you to leave... So if you have an idea that something is in a barn, well, verify.....

Idaho and Utah are a pretty straight shot and potential destinations. I've shared this post and picutres with the Utah Military Vehicles Facebook group. I hope for a safe recovery and even better than the person(s) can be caught so they'll have an oportunity to change and make better choices.

One hour ago (9 PM MST), one of the members of our group, Blake North, posted that a friend of his possibly saw that truck earlier today heading south on I-15 near exit 400 near Springville, UT. Iíve asked for any further details and time of day.

    So a possible lead.

However, I do know that Tuff Trucks LLC is located out of Springville, UT and gray/black is not an uncommon color that these trucks are painted. So it could have just been a different M923.

Still, Iíve never been in your situation before, but I would assume a phone call and sharing of information with Utah Highway Patrol and potentially Springville, UT Police and Arizona/Nevada/Wyoming/Idaho/Colorado Highway patrol would also be prudent.

You can just do a search for GPS tracking devices and theft. All kinds of solutions.

Post it on Facebook, or have someone you know post it if you don't have an account on some local pages and ask people to share the posting.

I had a storage bay broken into last year and discovered it within 24 hours. The owner captured pictures of the thief, along with his truck and my property in the bed and he and the sheriff's dept. posted them on Facebook.
The thief contacted the sheriff's department within hours and I got all my property back, and he was arrested.

Sorry to hear about your loss. A big green army truck is hard to miss in public.....the public has eyes.....use them.

Hate thieves! I have printed a photo of the truck and will hang it in the scale shack at the sawmill Monday.

Log trucks, lumber trucks and chip trucks in the middle of the state may spot it if it's moving any where around Salmon river country.
