VIC-3 with Radio troubleshooting

I have VIC-3 setup with a military radio utilizing the correct mounts and cables. I am using Peltor Comtac headsets with the bailout cable and PTT. The intercom portion works fine between the headsets, but when you hit the PTT on the cable it will not key up the radio. The radio does key up fine when using a phone headset. I have swapped out the MCS/L and tried a different FFCS/L plus changed out cables, etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi

What radio are you using? Using non military radios on VIC-1 I had an miss match between the military headset mic and what the radio needed.

Do you have the cable from intercom to radio [ cx13489, or cx13473 ] ?

I have tried both of those with the same results. What is the difference between the two cables as they look the same?

Thanks

This may sound like something obvious but are you sure you have the correct bailout cable for your Comtac headset? When I was working with my Racal 5000s trying to get the audio to work I came across some that looked the same but were wired differently.

Yes, I have confirmed the bailout cables are correct as they work in another unit I have setup. I am going to try swapping out the main radio tray.
