Question about Deuce registration in NY.....

Hello all, and thanks in advance for the help. Going to be purchasing and bringing home my new to me Deuce in about a week. I'm considering registering it as "Historical" instead of "passenger" in NY ( won't need commercial plates) but I'm wondering if that's the best choice. Seems like under the law with historical plates I'm severely limited in my ability to drive it, or does nobody actually care about that? What have other NY'ers done?

You should register it for how you plan to use it.

I registered mine with commercial plates so that I don't have to worry about when, where, why, or what I may be carrying. Another thing you may want to consider is buying insurance that doesn't restrict you from doing things like hauling stuff or driving it to work. I have Hagerty and my only restriction is hauling commercially.
