    Default Wanted: Strap for CDV-700 (Geiger counter)

    Iím looking for the strap, JUST the yellow strap pictured in these several example photos of the Victoreen Instrument Co. CDV-700.

    I do have one I can spare, I will probably be locating it within the next couple weeks as we do spring cleaning. Remind me if I donít get back to you by then. Itís brand new in the box along with the detector itself, not previously used.

    Have you tried www.radmeters4u.com? They pretty much have everything. They were great to deal with. I have had good luck with them in the past.

    Hey thanks! Even though the website hasn't been updated in years they're still operating full time. I spoke to George on the phone and he indicated that they have thousands of the straps and he said they would send one to me for the cost of shipping only. I think I might still have them calibrate the meter (and possibly repair a stripped screw on the handle ) because a place like this won't last forever (such has been my experience). I probably should have bought from them in the first place. Oh well.
