I am trying to install a M1009 rear bumper on my 1981 Suburban. Does anyone have pictures for installation purposes.

Pictures? I have a set of front and rear M1009 bumpers and brush guard that I am wanting to install on my 91 V1500 suburban.

Do you have all the brackets?
I used the factory bumper bracket that's at the end of the frame. I drilled holes that matched the M1009 bracket. By not removing the factory brackets you can line up the new bumper.

I dont have the cross bar so I will make one.

Front bumper and grill gaurd. I cut and modified it to follow the hood angle.

What? That is the same shape and sheet metal a CUCV has. And please don't hook anything on that pintle hook you attached. That is very weak even with a crossbar. honestly The M1009 Pintle was weak from day 1. I ripped a few right off the trucks with a Bubba Rope. Good Luck,
