I picked up this M1025A2 from the recent GoDove auction. EUC wait time was 3 months. 2 of those months, the agent that signs the EUCs was on vacation. This was a special forces GMV that was upgraded. The shocks on this are nitrogen charged remote reservoirs. They're about 2-3x the size of stock shocks. The idler arm is also about 4x the size of a regular one. I believe the pitman arm is a heavy duty MOOG variant. 5129 miles on the odometer and I believe it. Overhauled to a A2 in 2007.

This one was sold running, but when I got there we were unable to start it. They have no way to load these at the site so it is a good thing I have a winch on my trailer. The 3/8" hose on the fuel pump had a slice in it. Replaced the line, bled the system, and it fired right up.

Did you check the nitrogen pressure? I think it says 60 psi. You can tell which parts Rod Hall added because they are black painted. Have you done a similar “catch air” jump with your other hmmwvs so you can compare?

Nice suspension.
Rod Hall has some nice products for the platform. Unfortunately they are very dearly priced.

Nice man!

It's cool seeing a Humvee being used like that! Most are retired and living a cushy lifestyle.

Here's me testing out the "Rod Hall" suspension not 5 minutes off the trailer. Rod Hall was a Hummer offroad racing legend from the early 2000s. The special forces used his company to build the suspension on these.

Not sure I understand. The HMMWV is in the air. You sure the shocks don’t contain Helium?

I hope you really enjoy your rig. How does she ride Highway and on the streets with those stiff springs?

Best,

T

I haven't checked the pressure. By looking at cylinder travel on the shocks I can tell that they still have pressure and are working. Because of the amount of times I have changed the idler and pitman arm on my other HMMWVs I will not be attempting this jump any time soon with them for comparison.

Looks good! I think you’re in one of the same HMMWV groups as me on FB. I think I’ve seen some of those pictures before.
