Looking for 2520-01-572-2733 Axle and was wondering if anyone knew the difference between the A2 axle 2520-01-159-4859 vs the A4 upgraded one?

Have looked and looked and cannot find them in the TM. (only can find operators manual of 2008 beyond)

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Did you break the whole axle? The interior guts are common eaton. The only hard guts to find are that of the HEMTT wreckers/MK48s which use an RS650 which is a heavy haul setup.

Is yours a RS480 in the cargo truck? The A4 may have upgraded to the 650 for a heavier modern setup. Do you have any tag numbers off yours?

FWIW, all I could find is that the M977 has a #3 axle with the NSN 2530-01-159-4859, not 2520-
(Shown in TM 9-2320-279-24P-1 (from DEC1998 ), Fig. 182, item 1.)

It would be great if someone had any newer TM's to share, covering the A4 HEMTT variants.

Posting this on behalf of a friend, and he said he just needs a new axle. (will see if he can find tags on it)

I believe the new parts manual that would include the A4 axle would be TM 9-2320-326-13&P?

Does anyone have access to it?

Thanks for the help.

The tag will serve better to get parts as that will bring up the eaton manual over the military tm with all variations of axles.
