From researching this on the interwebs, the 15.5/80r20 tire was only used on the PLS M1076 trailer. Maybe it also was on the PLS M1074 and M1075 trucks early on but it seems like those trucks migrated to 16.00r20s now.

The question is what are the wheels that came with the 15.50s? They look like the HEMTT wheels that fit M939’s but wanted the experts opinion.

M1076s use a 50/50 offset that are hub pilot.

Since these wheels are hub pilot, does that mean they have the larger 10 x 335mm bolt pattern (and cannot be used for the M939s)?

Hub pilot does not use tapered lug nuts to center the wheel. The hub centers it. 939s use stud pilot hubs

Thanks- that answers part of my question in that they should not be used for M939s. I understand hub vs stud pilot. And agree M939s need stud pilot. I just don’t know the bolt pattern for these wheels.

There is a thread in the 5 ton upgrade section that list what wheels will fit a 5 ton. Even has pictures.

The Michelins flex alot and they tend to crack and take alot of damage being so soft.

I have put the 15.5/80/20 tires on other wheels such as a HEMTT wheel. A 20" diameter tire will fits most 20" rims. The thing to watch out for is the MPT style wheels and tires.
