I need to pull mine. It was rebuilt by the PD that sold it to me.
But every time it rains, it drags or just clicks at the solenoid. I looked all over for a short until I finally noticed where someone had been smacking it with a big hammer or small sledge. Tapping it works, so I figured that it's not a truck electrical issue. I've lived with it for sometime, but given the state the country is in I want to fix it right.
I'll have this one gone thru as a spare, but I want to be certain any new one I drop in is less affected by rain, water, fording, etc.
I may check into a C7 marine starter.
