Anyone hook up mep002/3 to Trace/Xantrex SW inverter with gen autostart?

I've got a mep-002a and a Trace SW 5548 inverter.

The inverter has generator auto start/stop features, but from what I understand it is complicated with the mep-002/3 because of glow plugs, time delay, etc, and these gen's don't have remote start/stop builtin, afaik.

But also, there are various third party generator control boards out there, etc.

I am hoping that someone here as already done this and can provide instructions (eg, which control board to get and how to hook it up) as I don't know if I would be able to work it out on my own.

Peter has done all the work for you. I've not done one on the 002/003 series, but I've installed several on the 802/803 series

As indicated above you will need a controller that handles the start sequence for the generator. The inverter then will do a simple contact closure to trigger the generator start.
