M151 serial #

Where is the serial number stamped on the M151, the one I am looking at has no data plates, thanks

unfortunately, the data plate is the only location on a mutt you'll find that number. there is a tag with a sequence number, but that is not a serial, and there may be duplicates from other production runs. On Ford's the tag is centered at the top of the firewall, on AMG's it's on the transmission hump, driver's side, behind the fuel lines. Early m151's had a foil tag on the passenger side frame near the front axle. probably your only shot is if you sand the hood and/or dash you may find it stenciled there...

i just brought home an Early M151 the foil tag is on the drivers side unless it has been moved?

Never had one on the body, only the data plate on the dash as they where considered expendable . Tnjmurray.com. Murco@tnjmurray.com
