This is where all the fun begins<img src="emoticons/icon_smile_approve.gif" alt="Approve"> I just love taking things apart<img src="emoticons/icon_smile_big.gif" alt="Big Smile"> I will be starting from the back of the M37 and work my way forward. So first to come off is the bed.

(Good way to make room for those Monster Tires)
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v126/da_sgt/M37/BedsOff.jpg" border="0">

Its pretty straight forward, the bed is held on by six bolts, or I should say five bolts and one very rusty stuck bolt<img src="emoticons/icon_smile_angry.gif" alt="Angry"> The only ones that are hard to get at are the two rear ones by the tailgate. You need to drop the tailights and remove one bolt on each of the bumperetts to gain good access to them. I'm lucky to have a forklift so I can do this alone, you can also use a engine hoist if you can't find three buddies<img src="emoticons/icon_smile_wink.gif" alt="Wink"> Once the bed was off I put it on a cart so I could move it around as needed.
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v126/da_sgt/M37/BedonCart.jpg" border="0">

I know not everybody has a cart lying around, but I'm lucky to have a ton of them<img src="emoticons/icon_smile_big.gif" alt="Big Smile"> (left over from a manufacturing company I was partners in) After the bed was removed I noticed something odd in the crossmember.<img src="emoticons/icon_smile_shock.gif" alt="Shock">

<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v126/da_sgt/M37/Opps.jpg" border="0">

Left there by a previous owner when he was mounting a fuel tank in the bed<img src="emoticons/icon_smile_lol.gif" alt="LOL"> Well the beds off and the next to go will be the Hard Top.

<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v126/da_sgt/M37/Bedsoff2.jpg" border="0">

More to come........<img src="emoticons/icon_smile_wink.gif" alt="Wink">

da_sgt!

Great pictures! I would kill <img src="emoticons/icon_smile_dead.gif" alt="Dead"> to have a nice shop like yours!

If you keep a photo album of the restoration, it would be a great addition to Steel Soldiers! <img src="emoticons/icon_smile_question.gif" alt="Question"> <img src="emoticons/icon_smile_thumzup.gif" alt="Thumb Up">
