Alright, I need help finding something.

I could have sworn that Reo sold a civilian version of the M44 (I think it was an M34) in the 1950's. It was mechanically the same as our stuff but with 12V electricals and regular automotive wiring. I really remember seeing some kind of a full page print ad from a vintage magazine as well. I have searched the web and SS to no avail.

1. Am I crazy?
2. Can you find the thread or website I am thinking of? Or the ad?

Yes, I've seen the ad you speak of. The civilian model was call the Eager Beaver. I'll see what I can dig up.

About the best I could come up with was this- http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showth...er-Beaver-quot-article&highlight=eager+beaver

I found some more threads alluding to the ad you speak of but they just had dead links.

I did see one of these civilian models at Howard Hammonds old junk yard. It had the same styling as the deuce but no military features. Best I remember the cab was different having a solid top.

Ok, ya'll can start laughing now.............................

I need help finding a thread.

At some point in the quasi-recent past (12-24 months) someone (maybe more than one) had posted a thread where they had modified their factory M-series flasher relay with an off-the-shelf replacement relay and they attached the 3-pin connector to the cannon plug of the original relay so the vehicles wiring harness was left in stock condition.

I can not fin it for life of me.

In looking, I have found the following:

http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?25398-Flasher-Relay-Questions
http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?91545-M35A2-Turn-Signal-Flasher-Repair

http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?128846-Anyone-use-Grote-flasher-unit-44010-on-Deuce

Anyone remember the thread or who did this? I have bought my last crappy M-series flasher relay. Dammed things are made out of paper mache.

It's in the third thread, post #13. I also remember the second thread, where cleaning out the sealant and re-soldering the components was recommended, along with a spacer to keep the potting material from contacting the board in the first place. Thanks for bringing these threads back up to the top!
