I sense some flames in here. I can see everyones point, but the real point isnt about spelling, its about the incident. Now...

The police wouldnt have done anything if he wasnt insured. I've either been an observer or present (passenger) in two accidents where the driver at fault wasnt insured and didnt have a license. Both times they were written a ticket, given a court date, and then picked up by friends/family at the scene, none of which showed up for the court date. They have no reason to. I worked for uhaul for a period of time, they dont require you to carry anything but cash in your account and a drivers license, that being said it doesnt even have to be yours. Theres a lot of highly questionable wiggle room with this person in the incident, but its done now. Glad to hear you wernt coupling something and got your hand pinched or crushed.

I had just finished filling up the HEMTT at a station and I had the truck running and some PLONKER decided to pull his 30+ foot car trailer around the nose of my truck in a tight right turn. If i hadn't quickly put it in reverse and backed up 5' I would have flayed open his whole trailer. I was worried about damage to my FLiR camera on the front of the truck so I backed up. In retrospect I shouldn't have, the guy was a total JERK when I confronted him about nearly hitting me. Next time I'm gonna hold my ground and watch the carnage. aua

Man, it is crazy lately. Me and my wife were in the deuce going to lunch today and some guy pulling a travel trailer literally ran a stop sign and cut a corner so fast his trailer tilted some 20 degrees. I stood on my horn and he went nuts inside his truck flipping me off and such.

My wife just looked at me and said run his a$$ over. I thought about it for about half a second.

If I had not slammed on the breaks my front bumper would have unzipped his whole trailer.

Firefox has a built in spell checker. If I didn't use it all the time my posts would be unreadable.

I'm pretty sure it's a requirement to have vehicle insurance and a valid drivers license, when driving on a military base.(no matter what language you speak)

I’ve seen quite a bit of questionable spelling since I’ve been here. I try to make sure mine is correct, but I do not hold misspelling against anyone, normally. The lack of a formal edu-ma-cation does not denote a lack of intelligence or good will. As for the non-driving jerk, I have a few other questions. I was born of US citizens in Germany (my maternal family has been here since 1732) and GL denied me an M105 trailer because my passport had expired. Pray tell, how did "non English speaking guy" get passed the wardens?

Just a thought

yes this was more my thought, they are so strict to make sure that you dot your t's and cross your I's, every thing has to be perfect on your paperwork but this guy was picking up? here was my more non understanding question, how did he get on base? can anyperson just show up after buying from GL and pick up? I know I don't get searched(truck that is) and I am just guessing he didn't either so is that not a security threat as is? or am I putting too much thought to that?

I am no way aginst dealing with people that have english as a second language, I can understand most broken english, I have nothing aginst that.

it just helps when your yelling at someone that they feel your anger, and understand it too.

I have been buying from GL for several years now, getting on post can be very simple, or a real trial, some only require a drivers license to be shown, other posts have done a complete back ground check, vehicle search, turn in your cell phone, no cameras, insurance, vehicle registration and such. Depends on current threat level, type of facility, if nuclear weapons are on post and such. I went to Anniston, Al. to pick up ammo cans and was put through a very thorough check, almost 2 hours before I could get to DRMO, also had to have an escort. I was in S.C. last week to pick up a M35A3 and only had to show my DL. Go figure.

The other day I was taking the girlfriend for a ride in the deuce and a couple of young girls turned out of a parking lot pointed the wrong way. I was coming and they stopped fast. Drive crazy and the big army truck will come for you. :deadhorse:

Yeah I was thinking the same thing Why not call the cops? I agree they could have maybe taken an unsafe uninsured driver off the road.:lost:as to why the cops weren't called
