My dad lives in West Buxton, mom in Falmouth, and in-laws in South Portland. We're usually up there once or twice a year. How far is Franklin from South Portland? I'd love to see this thing up close. If you are interested, we could bring our 109...

Man that truck has all the goodies! I looked at a Contact Maint. truck once. It was cool. It had a PTO driven genset/welder in the back. Another cool M37 variant that I have only seen one of is an airport crash truck. It had an all aluminum body with ladders and storage lockers etc... Very cool.

Glad to see there are other M37 people out there, here in oregon they are few and far between.
My truck is a 1951 one of the first off the production line built the first of feb. 1951. This truck is restored and used to honor our vets in parades, they love to ride along.

Good posting

Hi Guys, from across the pond!
I've just got a Dodge M43 B1 from a guy with 1745 miles on the clock! it's all original apart from something missing on the roof just up from the screen, there are holes there but nothing in them! If I can work out how to post a picture i'll do it.
Cheers

Actually I use 15JUN02 (military style) for dates since I was in Desert Storm and all that. WOW what a fine ride! Wife says I need a five gallon bucket to collect all the drool (oops, sorry). I believe there is a link somewhere here on the site to connect you to that information. Go ahead and PM Chris (Steel Soldier) about it. I believe he did the link to the site, but I don't remember exactly. I'm more a Deuce & 1/2 person myself (check out my photos on this site) so I'm not so familiar with the Dodge Brothers equipment. Plus after Lee Iacocca took over Chrysler in the early '80's parts are VERY expensive and usually dealer items so I tend to stick with Ford, Kaiser, Studebaker and AM General.

Warbird,

Great looking M43 Mine is still a work in progress. Seems like the only thing missing on the roof is the spot light, is the hole your talking about centered on the roof between the seats? Again Great looking truck!! Hope mine comes out as good as yours

I have the same heater in my truck, petrol fueled!! I think I'll leave it alone unless I get it overhauled!
also, my lamp has just blown in the back, bummer! could do with the spotlight on the roof & a siren.
Cheers..............
Geoff

Edit.. this is what happens when you only look at the first page of three! It makes no sense!!
sorry....
