Warranty plate: 87/05

Rustproofing sticker: 5/87

I got a wonderful surprise today: I found a folder full of paperwork or my truck!

Inspections from when it was new, lots of documentation of stuff done to it ( a new clutch last year, all new brakes, etc.) and the paperwork from where the Air Force accepted it.

Interesting stats: They accepted it in November, 1988; 18 months after it had been built.

They paid $31,116.00 for it.

It spent it's entire life at Warner Robins AFB-it's last unit was the '78th Logistics Command Unit and it was received at WRAFB on date 88334 (not sure how to read that-10K day calendar?).

Mileage traveled and dates:

Miles Date
35 88348
597 89135
1196 89361
1315 90088
1942 90115

Again, I don't know how to read those date codes, the first 2 digits are obviously the year.

88334 would have been the 334th day of 1988(Nov 29th).

In the Navy, we referred to that as the Julian Date. Took me a few minutes to think back to 1998.

Icat, Seems some did have it, and others didnt. I do not belive any of them left the factory with them. they were added at the unit level.

See attached image. These tags aren't USAF specific, they are all on the M44 series axles.

My truck also has an additional tag, in the image I posted with the expertly photoshopped arrow, it's the shiny tag on the left. I believe one tag is for the bare housing and the other is for the complete assy. (with brakes, axles, pumpkin, etc.) or it's a rebuild tag.

I doubt it's a rebuild tag, as it has a 1987 date.

I am 99% sure mine doesn't have it. I have seen more without than with.

How about USAF M35 A3s, got one from Wright Patterson- used to be an A2,
Probably not the same kind of thing because:

A:

Late Model USAF M35A2C Registry

The only info I am looking for is the 87/88/89 "K" number
B: The few M35A3's the USAF might have gotten weren't any different from the Army or USMC M35A3's. But the A2C's the USAF ordered for the 1987-1989 contract were special-and weird. Pioneer rack and slave port delete, wood racks, dual circuit brakes, etc.
