Yeah, the Cougar and Buffalo are interesting vehicles for sure. Made for EOD units to investigate and dispose of IEDs and such. There's been some stuff on them in the news. The Cheetah is new and I haven't seen much on it yet. It may be a bid vehicle or just not have a contract yet.

Thanks for the correction on the axel mfgr. The price tag for the smallest vehicle in the family is around $400k, the medium one is $600k, and the biggest truck is $750k! Big, big numbers. But what price tag do you put on the life of one young Marine?

Very nice machines indeed. I'm glad to see M-H is still alive and kicking. They do have a long history with protecting our armed forces.

The Buffalo and Cougar look like vehicles with a purpose. To me the Cheeta comes off to me as a limo for those more equal, or the continued militarization of or police. Homeland security missions? Hide in a box from the rest of us.
