Hey guys. I just bought a 1984 M1008 with an electrical issue. It had been converted to 12v by the previous owner, and is not charging. I can get it started if I charge the batteries first. Let the troubleshooting begin.

Thanks for the welcome messages. I'm going to do some troubleshooting myself this weekend before I ask for help. It's more fun this way (at least for a few hours - my attention span is short) and I really need to learn more about automotive electrical systems.
