Hey Guys and Gals,
I came into work this morning, and couldn't get onto the site! It was blocked! Went over to my good buddy who is also the IT guy, and we found out why.

See the common 'thread'? lol. Please be careful what you name your threads! Apparently it got flagged by the GOV system here when they 'upgraded' over the weekend.

Not only to keep it 'clean' for some peoples super strict accesses, but also to make it easier to search.

Thanks!

Oddly enough i did come across a shall i say site where a poor cucv was being used lol i got a good laugh at a cheesy production some of those names look familiar lol Good morning SW :driver:

BTW No CUCVS were harmed in the making of the said video :]

Edited the thread titles.

As a IT Administrator I can see when the titles could cause an issue. Many of our members work at government installations and will be blocked.

We'll consider adding the word P orn, to our list of restricted/censored words. I can't think of any need for it on this site.

I occasionally pull up the Steel Soldiers web site on a Gov't computer but it has not been blocked yet (knock on wood) On the other hand, when I try to open The Forward Look website (1957-61 Chrysler Product cars and trucks) on the same computer it is blocked every time. That's a real head scratchier to me. Their porn sifting software is very arbitrary in what it blocks but what I don't understand is why do the IT bods block Forward Look? It's just pictures of cars after all and is quite similar to Steel Soldiers.

Some techies use the word "pron" to get around the filters. But that's just annoying, misspelling words for the sake of either sounding cool or something dumb like that.

Ban the word and be done with it.

I tried to pull up one of the pages on the MVPA convention thread using the computer at the motels' business center. Their software blocked the page becouse the word "an*l" was used.

Just keep "dumbing us down".

Kids used to have to learn there is a time and place for everything. Such as I have told my 11 year old son. "I know you swear and use bad words, all kids do. But I better not hear you and better not ever hear from some other adult that they heard you. Use your own judgement." Now you have parents and teachers that think its just easier to ban it and restrict the use of words in public or on computers rather than teach them how and where to use the proper words.

I'm not against banning the use of the word "p0rn" on here. I hate to see any of our members, who happen to be Gov employees, using Gov computers, on their breaks of course, ;) ) get banned from using the site, while at work.

Need to keep that word in use. It is another way to describe a torrential downpour. As in "It's porn down rain".
