5 ton winch on Deuce?

Found an add for a 20,000lb PTO winch that came from a 5 ton military truck. $500 without cable or $750 with cable, chain and hook.

My Deuce is a w/w but does not have one. Says they were stored inside and it seems like a good deal. My dad thinks it will be too heavy for my Deuce. What do you guys think?

The drive will have to be changed to the other side, will be heavy BUT has been done before.

I should also mention my Deuce has a 10' City plow. So that would further complicate mounting, But if I can figured out mounting would this be too much weight for the front end? Thanks for the links.

Just bought two 20k winches. Will be exploring this option myself. I dont see weight being an issue, more concerned if it will fit between frame rails. I don't have the winches in hand yet.

How hard is it to find the pto drive for a deuce?

Should I consider this purchase a good excuse to buy a m923 instead? :)
