Check out peninsular diesel's website or give them a call, they only sell the latest and greatest of components for the 6.2/6.5 engines. They sell the water pump that pumps the most water, it might be a little bit more than Napa's, but it will be the best pump you can buy.

When I rebuilt a 6.2 and put all 6.5 components on it for my 98 Suburban, they were able to help me find some hard to find parts...and also Lousiana turbo (they were the only ones who could find me a turbo gasket)

scott, it is the same thing...I have a 6.2 block and heads out of an 89 hmmwv and all the 6.5 stuff from my 98 suburban bolted right on. the lastest and greatest 6.5 water pump that Penisular sells will bolt right on to your 6.2...or check out the dieselplace forum and a quick search should yield you the newest water pump that pumps the most water that is available for your truck.

there are only a few minor differences between the 2 engines: 6.2 and 6.5...the water pump isn't one of them.
