1945 GMC 2 1/2 Ton Amphibian Truck DUKW. S/N 20583, Aug. 45. The chassis # matches the original data plate #. All the original data plates are there. The DUKW was restored about 25 years ago. It was last in the water during the 1996 MVPA Convention in Portland. It has been sitting under cover since then. It does run but will need the original carb rebuilt. (It is running with a civilian carb). The original carb & air cleaner are included. The previous owner removed the gas tank a couple years ago to clean it out and never finished the job. (He passed away last year) Other than the 3 holes he cut in the top to clean the tank is it in pretty good condition. The winch was removed to get the fuel tank out. (Currently using an auxiliary gas tank to start the DUKW). The hull is in very nice condition. The brakes will need some work. All the cargo box top bows are there & the cab bow is there but has been modified. All 6 of the original brass hull and driveline tube drain plugs are there. (Can't find the plug wrench) All the original gauges are there. The spare tire is flat. The title is lost but I am currently in the process of applying for a new title. (Unless we find the original) This DUKW is being sold as is. Located in Portland, Oregon. Any questions...Steve 503-939-3211 $45,000 obo.
