My Gen2 light comes on after 1009 warms up,its very dim and not noticeable if it's light out you can't even see it,voltmeter reads normal.alt. output reads normal batts.both have 12.9-13v reading. Will it last a few weeks til I can afford a rebuild?I'm 24v starter only.

Is it when the heater blower is on high? And I am going to say it is normal. I changed alternators and it still did it. I quit worrying about it. Everyone does it. The man at the electrical shop said he could put a relay or something into stop that. It don't bother me that bad so I don't worry about it.

Your voltage reading are on the low side. Each alternator should be putting out ~14.5v.

have you ever rebuilt them?

Mine does exact same thing
New Hawker batteries
12..9-13.0v rested reading. Load test perfect
both Alts rebuild few weeks ago
Moving Alts to others position didn't help
14.6 G1. 14.7 G2
29.3v
New belts
All original electric system
Good grounds
bulb contacts cleaned and greased

Lights driving me crazy

TM's, schematics and old threads really haven't helped much.
