I am not sure about this one, but can a 3 phase MEP-804A be converted to single phase without a large amount of changes? Is it a doable project or a long shot. I do know that most other smaller gensets have selector switches just to do that, but am unsure of this unit! :?

Read the TM 9-6115-643-10 manual. You have a 15 KW gen set. Instead of a switch, you have TB-1, a Voltage Reconnection Terminal Board. We used to call it a "Tap Interchange Board" in the old days. Single phase loads can be hooked up to any phase, (L-1, L-2, L-3 and LO. Voltages, 120/or 208.

I've been curious to see how these alternators were wound and if there is the possibility to convert a 10 wire head to a 12 wire head.

Is there anyone that has a stator out of one of these machines that could be evaluated for modification?
