idle speed for m931a2

Hi All
I have a 89 m931a2 with the turbo 8.3 cummins does anyone know what the specs are for idle in drive I think mine is too high slams when down shifting from 2 to 1st have change the fluid over to hydraulic tranny fluid helped updshifting not so much downshifting thanks

Modulator cable either isnt adjusted right or needs to be replaced. They all hard shift. The link to the company in Louisiana that makes the cable is in the quick parts spreadsheet. Idle speed is 550 to 750

Mines happy at 450-550.

If your idle is high, check your throttle pedal by pulling up on it, they are notorious for sticking.
