Hi guys i decided to buy a new genset want a really durable diesel engine that is fuel efficient and that will go the distance as far ss logging thousands of hours. I want a high quality generator head. What do you recommemd and where is the best place to buy it im shipping a container out of miami next week (hopefully) so the closer to miami the better. i dont have time to wait to have one built if its more then a few days. Thanks in advance for your input, phil

I looked at 803s and figured for a few more bucks i can buy new modern simgle phase i would have had to run one of my 002s in conjuction with the 803. 6,000 to 10,000 dollars for a low hour or refurb 803 is nuts imo. I will wire things up so i can run a pair of 002s or one of my 005s if its down for service or repiars

I would consider a Kubota or Perkins powered genset. Take a look at Hardy Diesel to get some ideas of what is available.

Also, here is some info on the leading generator-ends. Mecc-Alta & Stamford Newage seem to be highly rated but I have no experience with them myself.
