Hello,
I just installed my newly acquired NOS E5R2 Flamethrower Fuel Tank Unit. I had to take it all apart to fit it through the top hatch and mount in the sponson. The large tank just barely fit though the hatch!!! It was much easier than removing the turret. I was able to get new plastic made up for the gauges. The originals were yellowed. Still need to tighten up everything. Too hot today to be working inside the tank!!

Very cool. Looks like a nitrogen? tank that pressurizes some kind of flammable liquid? Is the discharge nozzle attached to the 37 mm? Did a radio usually go in that spot?

The flamethrower used Napalm. The pressure tank used compressed air. (approx. 2,000 llbs.) The flamethrower gun fits in the bow gun mount. I removed the radio I had mounted in the sponson.
