Can any of you guys that paint the three color camo style give me some hints and pointers about how the best way to spray it on so it will look good? I've been doing touch up with a spray can, and if I get too close it runs and if I get too far away, the over spray looks bad. I would like to get cleaner lines but not like a brush. How do you guys do it? I saw where someone posted a photo of a fresh three color paint job that looked real good, but cant remember who it was. [thumbzup]

I'm no paint expert, but this is what I do. First wirebrush all old oxide and all rust spots, then apply a coat of rustoleum "rusty metal" primer using a paint brush, really working it in.
Next get the pattern from TB 43-0209 (download from logsa site). Paint, again with brush.
To get the edges just a little fuzzy, (my son does this really well), use a small spraygun and do the borders of the pattern.
The colors in the image are, (1) sand, (2) field drab and (3) earth yellow.
The truck isn't done yet, its a work in progress type of thing, weather, time motivation...

Hey Cranetruck, Yours looks real fine. The part you said you let your son do, is the part I needed help with. I will have to practice on some test pieces. I did get one of those small detail type sprayers, maybe it will work out. thanks [:)]
