replacing center vent panel over dog house panel

any tricks to replacing center vent panel over dog house panel to keep the top in the channel while getting the bottom in?

Slide it in from the right side.

Tilt it up with open side facing down. Hold edge by windshield in groove. Lower edge near you ehile pushing the top edge into thd channel. The top edge should stay in the channel. Squeeze the duct so the bottom edge goes above the c-pillar.

unbolted the diverter from the right hand side and sprayed wd40 on the top channel and the bottom and slid it from the rh side and re installed the diverter and discovered why my defrost wasn't working that great so now time to replace the flex ducts before monsoon starts on july 4th!
