Window crank handle question

I need to take the door panel off my 2003 LMTV since my window will not move up and down. I can get everything off but the window crank. It seems to have a black plastic cover but don't want to break it if it's not meant to come off. Any tricks.

Plastic cover over a metal handle. Pry off the plastic cover opposite the crank side. I use a flat pry bar with a microfiber cloth over it. Might be overkill but I don't want to bugger them up.

When they say "pry", it doesn't involve a lot of force. The plastic cover just has a small plastic lip around it that snaps over the flat metal body of the handle underneath. Gently pull/"pry" the plastic lip over the metal and it comes off easy.
