I found the truck of my dream and have decided to clean the A2 to sell it. It’s been a fun couple days working with my kids to fix all the tiny little things that were in progress such as the headlights, fans for the AC that wouldn’t kick in, dead voltage regulator, etc.
The halo ring on the LED...
Now that the tunnel (or whatever it’s called has been adapted to the turbo engine, I can mount a proper doghouse.
Question: are there two lengths of these lockers?
Thanks!
The ones I have a too short for the new (turbo) dog house. The truck didn’t have a doghouse when I got it, and I had...
Thanks! Looks like it indeed!

Today I fixed the hood of the slantback with epoxy and carbon fiber.
I neglected the suit and feel totally itchy now 😅
BTW this is the truck in which I'll also install the "tactical infotainment" system I've been working on for a while now, as well as a supercharger kit and the aluminum rack.
It will be badass!
A cool guy in Michigan. He had a few sets and I was fortunate to get one. I paid cash to have the set and he kindly held it multiple months while I was abroad. It was a good surprise to receive them last week 😎
No idea :(
I'm still trying to source them! I worked on a similar application in a previous life and it's been a year I've been trying to find the name for this, and to source it.
The stuff I've seen was made of black anodized machined aluminum. I guess we could simply have it made at a good...
Received some half doors for the M1123. Aluminum, they’re surprisingly lightweight, seem to be about 1/4” thick. I‘m not happy with the soft doors and dislike the look of X doors on a soft canvas. Beside, no A/C on the M1123 to windows are open 9 months a year.
I think this truck will...
So that was Saturday.
Day 2 (today) was about cleaning-up and painting the A2.
It was a long day, enjoying the 14 hours of sunlight to sand, clean, fix, prep and apply a first light spray to the M1045A4.
The goals is to keep it green, and not camo. I have 3 gallons of carc sand paint and I was...
The hood isn’t bad but took a hit on the passenger side and will require a good day of work Just for itself.
Doors are OK. One took a large bullet on a pillar, another on the top of the frame, and the composite exploded. The fiberglass is pulled appart, it will take probably another day just...
One thing I’ve been willing to do in ages was to upgrade the engine opening to fit the exhaust of the turbo diesel in the N.A. 1045A2 Frame.
The cut was easier than I thought. It’s great to have someone to help - I usually work alone and certain tasks can take a lot of prep when doing things...
I’ve never posted here because I usually never take photos.
But since we pulled the A2 off storage to put it back in ‘good looking’ shape with my son, I decided to take a few shots.
It was very dusty after almost 18 months of storage, but just had to plug the batteries and it started after...
Congrats on your purchase !
I can only agree about switching to 17" rims.
I have also decided that for one of my trucks that still drives on 16.5 MT it would be a better deal to switch to 17" and extend the choice of tires. Steel rims are relatively cheap and I'm looking for a road truck tire...
