Took it for a 25 mile ride. It was pretty much it's maiden voyage, and everything went smoothly. Shifts like butter, doesn't pull or wander, and the brakes will put you thru the windshield if you're not paying attention lol
They're just a pair of Jeep TJ mirrors mounted with a little plate. Personally, I'd just get the Jeep mirrors and mount them myself. Save a good chunk of money.
So my 1097A2 came with two dead Armasafe Plus batteries from 2011. They're currently deader than dead, showing 0.6v a piece.
Is their any reason to keep them around? Can they be brought back to life? I've noticed even used ones are pricey, but these are dead as a doornail.
I have mine setup so I look at the mirror through the door window on the driver side, and through the windshield on the passenger side.
I've found that trying to look at the pass mirror through the door window is tough, plus it sticks way out.
That's awesome!
I had the same issue with mine getting shipped. The guy the initially had lined up for the transport was deemed to be fraudulent, so I had to wait for the next shipped to become available.
Weird.
Installed a Black Dog Customs cargo divider/ rear curtain sealer. Fit is decent. It's a little short on the driver side, so you need to seal the ends with silicone or seam sealer. I used some black seam sealer I had laying around.
You gotta drill a bunch of 3/16 holes, and make sure to not go...
