keep the used belt in the spare parts bin in the truck, along with some idler pulley bearings in case you have an idler lock up while driving away from civilization, as there is no guarantee of finding the belt locally.

contacting the yard directly is the best option. As long as you are in contact with them and making it clear you are working on getting the item picked up, they will usually be a bit more lenient than if you just blow them off and show up a week or three late.
That's probably due to them being around for decades now. Most reviews and feedback tend to be on newer products, and the HMMWV and H1 weren't all that common, not to mention they were and still are expensive vehicles.

That size was manufactured specifically because of the H1 community, as it was the biggest tire you could run without rubbing.
You could probably do some H1 image searches on the web and find pictures of it.
They should fit without issue as long as your springs are not sagging, and since you said M1165 it's unlikely your springs are bad.
