    M923 13 Speed Swap

Nothing would crossover. Maybe the clutch pedal setup. And transmission itself. Nothing else would work

    M923 13 Speed Swap

Yes. All a2 trucks have longer transmission to transfer case shafts cause the engine sits about 14 inches further forward

    M923 13 Speed Swap

Your truck won't need the same parts as he has on his. Your A2 has a longer Jackshaft than his was. Your transmission also sits way further forward than the A1 trucks. It will be alot more difficult with a good many different parts

    M923 13 Speed Swap

Air operated clutch assist like on a mack would be nice. Or even an 809 series truck as a donor for its linkages and parts

    M923 13 Speed Swap

The A2s have the dampener on that shaft cause they use a longer one. May have to invest in one if there is any vibration with that plate

    M923 13 Speed Swap

Would have been easier to deslot the transfer case mount brackets It will slide back about 3 inches if you slot the mount. The rear and front drive shafts have enough travel that it won't hurt em to move in or out that far

    M923 13 Speed Swap

Flow comes on the lower hose housing and dumps back into the intake

    M923 13 Speed Swap

There is a 1710 joint yoke for the input transmission shaft. I would have to dig thru old threads for number

    M923 13 Speed Swap

Its the same companion flange in the transfer case that the front axle output uses It's hard to make a shaft under 18 inches. From the center or the 1710 joint to the end of the companion flange is 3in on the shaft side

    M923 13 Speed Swap

You need meritor A-3280-U-7535 companion yoke for the input shaft on the transfer case. You need companion flange for the driveshaft part #7348215. Its the same flange as the transfer to front tandem uses. 1710. Every other flange on the truck shafts are 1610. I probably have one laying...

    M923 13 Speed Swap

You need a companion flange for the input on the transfer case and a 1710 companion flange for the shaft and another u joint like you have. That will give you 3 in

    M923 13 Speed Swap

Alot of us use hockey pucks and drill holes in em. Much more flex and same height as original. I order a bag of 10off Amazon when I need em.

    M923 13 Speed Swap

Cause they gave you transfer case mount bushings. Must have been Memphis equipment They substitute one for the other

    M923 13 Speed Swap

Spicer makes a morph joint that is a 92 to 1710. But not to a 72 series. It's small and obsolete 92 series are used on the 915 trucks
  15. simp5782

    M923 13 Speed Swap

Probably not. You can get a companion flange for the input on the transfer case and use a 1710 joint type jackshaft. Which is what your trans output yoke is The mechanics style joint the military uses in that 72 series isn't common in the civilan world On my transmission swap I moved the...

    M923 13 Speed Swap

Fine. Just make one perch sit out further than the other on the frame. Mine i bolted 2 pieces of angle iron together. Top was for the cab support. Lower was for the trans spring It only flexes a little bit if you could even see it really without it being in low range and a severe load on it
  17. simp5782

    M923 13 Speed Swap

Yes. On a manual transmission I wouldn't worry about one really. It doesn't need a cooler or temp gauge
  18. simp5782

    M923 13 Speed Swap

Rubber deteriorates. And causes noises like this
  19. simp5782

    M923 13 Speed Swap

Rear transmission mounts are not always needed. The mount is designed to flex with torque to keep the tailshaft in line. Over support any weight. You are running just a 250. It won't be torqueing that much back there. Bolt the angle iron to the frame rail and use the leaf pack...
