The JB weld worked fine on the sending unit collar....tank is back in and I'm working on installing and hooking up the new fuel gauge.
I have a wire from the top screw on sending unit to the 's' stud on the F. gauge. For a ground, I have a wire running from one of the five sending unit screws...
Alright, I wasn't sure and didn't want it to get in the screw holes for the sending unit.
If you used it on the bottom of a tank, I shouldn't have any problems w/ this since it's on the topside. (providing I clean everything well)

My '53' A1's fuel tank sending unit collar, has to be re-installed. I was in the process of replacing the sending unit and noticed the mounting collar was cocked and not flat.
I was able to remove it but know need to re-install it. The tank is drained of fuel....what is the simplest method to...
