Not just those guys either. Acela has done that to a bunch of trucks because the owner didn't want to source the bead-locks. Friend of mine with an Acela built A1R had one of his tires go flat from a leak and it popped the bead off the rim. He was not aware till that moment that his truck didn't have any bead-locks in the rims.

IMHO you are always better off getting a surplus truck and taking no one's word for anything having been done to it. The evil you don't know about vs. the evil masquerading as a warranty.
What a shame. Mine was also "fully fine through" and I have a little by list of things completely ignored. Shame govplanet is also such a crap shoot.

Given my experience, I would implore anyone to do the same. Pretty much everyone I have met now that got a truck from where I did has the same story.

based on the additional info in this thread, I inflated the tires from 50psi to 85psi and the vibration reduced significantly, but there is still some. I’m going to try some balance beads and look into newer tires.

If you dismount those paper weights for balance beads just throw them in the dumpster. 12 year old tires are going to get you killed. Those are garbage and should be destroyed so they can't hurt anyone.
