Looking to maybe sell. What is it worth?

I have an opportunity to get an S1600 International motor (possibly a 6.9 or 7.3 Ford diesel) running with matching 5 speed tranny for extremely cheap. I will want to sell them both as a set but not sure what to ask. I know here in Dallas I can get a running motor that size for about $4300, but I was thinking of selling the set for around $2000. I would appreciate any and all input. Thanks.

Oh, the motor is coming out of a 25' Uhaul truck. The motor was replaced in Cali. then the truck was driven to Dallas and parked. It will have all the pulleys and accessories like alt/gen, fan, pumps etc., etc.

$2000 should have the set sold in a matter of hours if not a day or two. You said cheap? Well, that's cheap alright! I'd be tempted to start closer to 3k and let them barter down........

I had a 7.3 with ZF five speed I sold a while back for $4500, guy snapped it up in a heartbeat. In fact he saw the ad and wanted to come get it that night!

Well I've been looking for a motor for my IH dump truck, but 4K is getting a bit rich<img src="emoticons/icon_smile_shock.gif" alt="Shock"> Think I'll look for a school bus on ebay, some can be had for as little as $1500.00. Most come with the Allison Auto trans<img src="emoticons/icon_smile_wink.gif" alt="Wink">
