Thanks for the reply. My problem is not fixing the broken clutch but getting access to it in order to fix it. The window is down so when I take the cover off of the tailgate, there is a piece of glass between me and crank assembly. I do not know how to get the window up.
I have the panel off of the tailgate. I'm fairly certain my crank handle clutch needs replaced but before I can do that I have to figure out how to get the window back up.
The window was rolled down when whatever part it was that failed, failed. I cannot find a way inside the tailgate to...
I am replacing the exhaust on my 1009. The link posted by idM1028 was helpful however I have a question I couldn't find the answer to. When you are looking at civilian parts, which Chevy vehicle matches the military equivalent closest (which one should I be ordering parts under)? Is the K5...
McMaster has EPDM and Poly cord but I am unsure of the difference. In another thread someone suggested search for EPDM cord.
Can anyone tell me if I need the more expensive Poly cord or I can get away with EPDM? Thank you.
I got the switch M16TY, thank you. Everything is hooked back up and working fine. Thanks for the advice Cranetruck, I did remove the teflon tape and use the goop instead.
Yeah that seems to be the one. There is a spring and a washer that go between 13 and 7. That's what I'm missing.
I'll take your advice on the teflon tape. The only reason I used it this time was because I couldn't find my paste.
I had a leaking air hose under the dash. I was able to find and replace the hose (part # 8741776) that goes to the air control valve that engages the 6x6 (part # 16B1582726). In trying to find the leak I had the whole assembly apart to tape all of the threads. Also in doing so I had the...
I have towed several trailers home without tags. One didn't have lights at all. So far, knock on wood, I haven't been hassled.
I would suggest just 'going for it', and towing it home. Behind a 1008, it looks official enough that you shouldn't have any problems. If you really want to...
I have an M35, M1009, and a few trailers. I am interested depending on what the cost ends up being. Please keep me in mind when you get the order ready.
I'm following close in your footsteps. I put some filters in today. Waiting on the 51r's to be restocked at WalMart. I have two of these that I'm trying to get going.
8 weeks! 8 weeks it took for my first EUC to go through!!
I had 2 others pending behind that one and they all went through at the same time.
Words cannot express the excitement. Now I have to pick up 2 trailer mounted gensets, 3 m101's and an M35. It's going to be a busy week.
Did anyone else out there get any of the trailer mounted sets that just ended at Ft. Meade? I squeaked away with 2 (I wanted a third for my brother) and I'm pretty happy with the ending price. I was trying for one with the ASK but the price went way higher (still less than 1k) than I was...
