    Mep 803

@Guyfang is right. Completely Disassemble the metering pump, and see where it is sticky. Break out the carb cleaner and a rag and de-funk the funk on there and reassemble. I have used a combination of Seafoam, WD-40, Carb Cleaner, Acetone, and pretty much whatever else I have laying around at...

How do you move your generator(s)?

They to not fit in at the Fork Lift points or at the ends. It is possible to precariously balance from the end of the unit, but it's not exactly safe. If they make an adjustable width pallet jack, you could get it from the end, I think, but from the side, as mentioned earlier, you can't get...

    Stuck Injector? Mep 803a

As others have stated, I think it's more than likely the IP than the injector itself. I would attempt to narrow down which one it is first. On the 80x series generators, it seems like almost all of the fueling problems that I've experienced have stemmed from the IP becoming sticky/stuck. Like...

How do you move your generator(s)?

I also use a Kubota SVL75 with forks to move them around and rack them up on the pallet racking. Just pulled an 803A off of a trailer with it. Forks make it so much easier, although when I am working at my shop, I use a Toyota electric forklift. Justin

    MEP-804A Low frequency issue

Once it's running well, does it remain running well until you shut it down(even hours later)? I didn't realize that it was intermittent. So I don't think it's actually related to the governor or anything electrical now. Do you have an infrared thermometer? When it's experiencing the issue, can...

    MEP-804A Low frequency issue

Has it been run regularly? Have fresh fuel in there? If it's struggling on one of the cylinders, that could be affecting it as well.

    MEP-804A Low frequency issue

I have an 804B that had a similar problem, well, 2 problems actually. I need to get back out there to give you the correct terminology for what I adjusted as I am most familiar with the 003A's and the 802/803A's. It may have been the governor control(it was the doohickey on the upper right of...

    802 dies, no overload fault

Apologies.... somehow I missed this. After running the set with a can of Seafoam and a quart of ATF in the crankcase for about 30 minutes(in addition to a couple quarts of fresh oil) without load, oil came out less than ideal with a lot of gunk. Although it was a lower hour set(reset unit), it...

    MEP 803A Fix-up Thread

If you can get a few cc's of ATF and seafoam into the low compression cylinders and let it sit a couple of days, that might help to loosen up some gunk. If you could get a boroscope down in there, you see the condition of the pistons up top even before going any further. I am not familiar with...

My son found this HMMVW parked in a drivway in TX. Unusual

Everything in this is true.... focus on the sweet tea and the Speed Limit. For us it's not a limit as much as a minimum speed suggestion. This chaps my hide at least once a day... especially if they're in the fast lane. "LEFT LANE IS FOR PASSING ONLY" Justin

    Thank you Guyfang!

If I've learned one thing in life, it's to disregard the loud noises and screams that emanate from any homes I visit. Sorry I can't be of any more help. On another note: How's that heatwave @Guyfang ?

    Thank you Guyfang!

HAHA, well ok... maybe not a dime a dozen :ROFLMAO: I did over 4 hours non stop, most of it at what ~some people might call "high speed", and I didn't need help prying my 48 year old arse out of the buckets. I would say that qualifies as "family friendly":D Wife won't agree however. He truly is...
