So, I have this used Allison transmission I got at an auction for cheap inside the green metal shipping box, allegedly operational and scavenged from an otherwise dead LMTV. I thought it was a M923 transmission when I bid on it but it is not. I see no interest on ebay and I would hate to throw...
That is what I ended up doing, using a temporary one day registration.
Now I hear from the Florida DMV that if your vehicle is considered a farm vehicle you do not need any of this hassle.
Is there anyway to convert a MV into a farm sprayer and do it that way? I think I will look into it...
Oil filters are not too much a problem for me so far, however the fuel filters are another story. Definitely will look into a spin on set up for at least the two twin secondary filters.
I will check but it makes sense. When I do parking maneuvers I hear air bleed valves opening and releasing air. I was wondering if it was due to shifting but might have to do with steering back and forth.

Apparently it drove out algea blobs out of the tank and stuck them on my fuel filter (which I should have drained instead but went the lazy route thinking I would drain water at the fuel filter...
Nice video. I have an FMTV transmission laying in its box and was wondering if it would fit in a M923 for an install. Looks like it is a bit more involved in electronics and I would need to get my hands on a few modules. Now I might end up selling it or trading it in.
That is what I was wondering too. Last time I forced a bit of air in the tank it seemed to vent out somehow but I thought it took quiet a bit of pressure to do that. What is strange is that moisture was getting in from somewhere somehow and so I had to put dessicant on the strainer.
