Hello seattle from lake stevens WA I have a 1983 M923a2 and I did he Delco 21Si conversion about 8 months ago and have had know problems with it at all. I have my original alternator still but I will never put it back on.

oops forgot the new pulley for the alternator. So you can run dual belts you can order a new one at any parts store that you buy the delco at.

oh yeah forgot to mention I have a 1983 M923 Cargo.

I have just replaced the stock generator (wich burned out of course) with a new (Delco 21SI 24volt alternator). I didn't have to modify anything. I just bought a 10 inch length of 7/16-14 threaded rod and 3 nuts and washers to mount the bottom and a 3/8-16 bolt and nut and washer for the top...
