I’d seen that one, but thanks. Since the ambulances don’t have troops seats (where the M37 radios mount) and the space between the front seats needs to be kept clear for the door to the back, I can’t figure out where it might go. The litter racks take up the rear area from the back doors to the...
Curious as to what radio would have been in an M43 ambulance and where it would have been mounted. Anyone have info/pics? Also wondering about how/where the antenna would mount.
Hi Bob... yeah, that was me. At the price you were asking, I'm not surprised it sold quick :-)
I've got lines on a couple more. One in PA that looks pretty good. The seller is asking just under $14k but that's a pretty long drive from here in north-central KS. I saw another in NY (even...
Hi all,
I recently sold my M998 HMMWV and am looking for another interesting vehicle to work on/drive/enjoy. I've seen some M37s for sale that aren't too far away and have been doing research on ownership. The truck would be used for occasional trips around town, maybe out to a friend's...
So, the bolt definitely had the bolt broken off inside the bottom hole of the alternator bracket. Ordered a new bracket, but it's not a perfect match for the one in the truck. Specifically, the hole where the bolt is supposed to go through the alternator mounting tab isn't threaded.
I'm...
The advantage of the teardrops, in my opinion, is that they pivot horizontally and vertically so they line up with whatever you're pulling. The original U-shaped shackles only pivot up and down. That said, I've pulled some downed trees out of a friend's acreage that were 36" around (the whole...
No, I’m just trying to figure out why this doesn’t line up. The alternator is loose enough on the bracket that I took the belts off so the belts definitely aren’t the issue
maybe it needs to come all the way out and then back in with that bolt first?
Noticed the alternator was loose this AM when working on the truck and it turned out that the rear bolt had worked loose and gotten lost. No problem (I thought)--I've got tons of bolts and I'm sure I have one to fit this application.
However, when I tried to thread the bolt into the hole in the...
I'll just tell you what I did and you can think about it...
First, I bought a NATO slave plug so that I could plug the truck in without messing with the seat. They can be pricey but a careful watch on the evil auction site turns them up for reasonable prices.
Second, I bought a 24v battery...
So... that's how it's supposed to install, but you can avoid most of the problem (on a four-man setup) by installing the brackets that hold the divider ahead of the curtain. Then, get some of that foam they sell in rolls for sealing doors and windows and apply it along the bottom edge of the...
I'm considering a move from KS to NE and am wondering how difficult NE will be regarding the title of my truck. Here in rural KS it was relatively straightforward, but I know that NE is a little more nanny-state than my current state of residence.
I have a DVE mount, and it's not like the one in the photo. It doesn't look like the BFT mount either. I guess it's not a lot of help to tell you what it's not, but that's all I've got.
I'd be surprised if the slave-port charging was the problem. My truck has been charged literally hundreds of time through the slave port with no ill effects. Indeed, the slave port is meant to jumpstart the truck, so it shouldn't be a problem--by design.
That said, it does sound like your box...
