Why would you advance the IP?

Thanks, sir. That helped a lot. Let us know how the new IP works.

Why would you advance the IP?

Thanks, sir. A friend of mine needs a new IP for his M1009 so that’s why I am asking. The problem is we are in Germany. We will check Badger Diesel if they ship to Germany. Did you get the new IP without sending in your old one?

    CUCVRUS Repair Projects

How can that happen? Seems like the crack starts from where the bolt is tightened underneath.

    M1009 Little Red Riding Hood.

Yes, I agree. Too much money for a simple windshield. That’s just one example of original NOS spare parts becoming rare and expensive.

M1009s with factory glass all around are extremely hard to find nowadays. Chinese replacements are common. A guy in Germany was selling a factory clear windshield - a really nice one - but the price was 1.000 US$. What the heck?

    Replacement Fast/High Idle Solenoid?

@Barrman: you were right. I replaced the fast idle solenoid today and had a look at the bad one. There is one really thin copper wire and it is broken. I will try to repair it.

No worries. Time weather most vehicles - especially rubber parts on vehicles and rubber in general. Never use a rubber seal twice. It will give you problems. Unfortunately the aftermarket rubber seals often fit poorly. With LMC and Rockauto you should be good to go. Good luck. Take care.

This is the assembly I need with the „angle iron“ that fixes the center plate.

Yes sir! Plus the angle iron to fix this center plate 😃

Safety Flo-Lite - good to see that. Very certain this window glass came with the M1009 from the factory in 1983.

Vintage GM wire ties still exist? I had to cut one in a M1009 and had to replace it with a new zip tie - I hated it. Just a wire tie but every detail counts.
